Chefchaouen, Morocco. Escape into the blue

Travelling through Morocco is a wondrous experience - no doubt about it. But if you're a woman travelling alone, there's a large proportion of your trip that will be spent saying no to people trying to sell you things and no, but thank you, to people wanting to marry you. This of course is not really a hardship, however it does get tiresome, despite the fact that Moroccans are some of the warmest and friendliest people on earth.

So for some much needed respite, my hottest tip for Morocco is to

Street food - German style

German food certainly doesn’t have the cult status of some other cultures when it comes to street food and it's cuisine in general is not always the most instagram-worthy. Many have stared down at a plate of white potatoes, thick cuts of meat drowning in brown sauce, or an extra long sausage crammed into a tiny white roll and been left wondering. However, there are a few classics on their street food menu that a definitely tasty and more than a few dishes that will quickly become favourites.

Camp oven mussels with white wine and chilli

Camping food can often be a very dull affair, but a few
simple ingredients and a little forethought can make
all the difference. This mussel recipe is best cooked in a cast oven pot over an open fi re. However, it can just as
easily be made in a large pot on the stove at home. If making this recipe out in the great outdoors, buy good-quality fresh mussels from your local fi sh supplier, pack them in a vacuum-sealed or airtight container and put them in an esky on ice so they remain cold. Store
the white wine in the esky alongside them, so you can have a cold glass of that while you're cooking.

Why creativity matters

When we hear the word ‘creative’, many of us think of pencils and paper, or of glue and collage. Few of our first thoughts are about magnificent buildings or bridges, or world changing technology. But creativity is the very thing that makes us human, and the key to our development as a species.

We all have an inherent creative ability. It’s how we solve problems, how we learn to walk, to make decisions and to progress though our lives. To create means to make one thing out of another thing. So

GenDIY profile: Spyros Fotiou

Spyros Fotiou is a great example of GenDIY success. Based on what he saw the job market was demanding, Spyros bridged the gap between the skills he had and the skills he needed. In three months Spyros transitioned from being unemployed to working as a full-scale web programmer. How?

After pursuing a mainstream education pathway of electrical and computer engineering in college, Spyros graduated with new skills but was unable to find work. Relocating from Athens, Greece to Berlin, he arrived wit

The evolution of owning one's identity - SSI for beginners

None of us needs convincing that we are who we say we are. When it comes to proving this fact to others, however, our word is rarely enough.

From the moment we are born we are issued verifications of who we are, from birth certificates to student ID cards, health care cards to passports, work IDs, utility bills, fingerprint IDs and retina scans. Without one or more of these, we can perform very few of the tasks essential to being a functioning member of the society in which we currently live.

The role of AI in a world full of storytellers – Taylor & Grace

By way of a digital olive branch, (after we did a deep dive video with it) we decided to let ChatGPT co-write this blog post for us. We tried a few different prompts and got some mixed results so in the end we decided a mash up was the best way forward. With a prompt asking whether we’d lose our jobs, some direction for an engaging and playful tone, and a request for a healthy dose of keywords about ChatGPT, AI and branding, we got something of answer.

In the ever-evolving landscape of digital

The end of passwords

Most people have up to 200 accounts with password access to keep track of. Each must be strong and unhackable with an ideal combination of letters, numbers and, importantly, memorability to the user. This is rarely the case and, as a result, passwords are clunky and dangerous, when it comes to modern digital security needs.

The transition away from passwords will take time; however, Microsoft recognised early the urgency to transform digital security and its developments indicate passwords may

We are now on the cusp of the Internet of Things revolution. Introducing Fight Parkinson's – Together we can (new brand launch)

This rebrand work involved a visual update of course but also a new tagline, complete rewrite of their website, a launch video and a set of launch messages to explain their decision to rebrand.

Early in 2021, Parkinson’s Victoria – now operating as Fight Parkinson’s - consulted with the Parkinson’s and Atypical Parkinson’s community and rebranded.

Their new brand enabled them to lift the voice and the profile of Parkinson’s in the community and more strongly lead sector on a national rather than state wide level. They were then repositioned to better represent and meet the needs of their community.
